Local anesthesia
A local anesthetic eliminates the sensation of pain in the affected area. For certain oral surgery procedures, local anesthesia is sufficient for pain-free treatment. For certain oral surgery procedures, local anaesthesia is sufficient for pain-free treatment.
Analgesia (sleep anesthesia)
Analgesia is a gentle form of anesthesia. It puts the patient into a sleep-like state in which they are relaxed and free of anxiety and stress. The patient breathes on their own and does not notice anything from the injection to the operation. Sleep sedation is often used for anxiety patients.
General anesthesia/ITN (intubation anesthesia)
From a medical point of view, general anesthesia is only necessary for complex dental procedures. However, it can also be used for patients with a pronounced fear of treatment, for the treatment of children, or in cases of a lack of patient compliance.
